It all started when...

The Challenge

JINKA makes delicious vegan tuna spreads and they wanted to announce their nationwide launch at Whole Foods in a creative way. They decided to poke a little lighthearted fun at Chicken of the Sea's notorious jingle: "Ask any mermaid you happen to see, 'What's the best tuna?' Chicken of the Sea." JINKA questioned whether today's eco-conscious sirens would agree and opted to partner with them directly.

The Solution

We coordinated a series of social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) with professional mermaids (i.e. ‘Finfluencers’) using the hashtag #AskMermaids. In each post the sirens showcased JINKA’s products and encouraged their fans to find them at their local Whole Foods store. The campaign garnered:

  • 5 participating ‘Finfluencers’

  • 28 posts and 12 stories

  • 1.3+ MILLION  post views

  • 89,000+ likes and loves
